Municipal Parking Permits.

    Virtual Permits

We now have virtual permits instead of the vinyl ones that hang on your mirror. They will be available for purchase starting in mid-December, and they went into effect January 2nd, 2024. You are welcome to create them on our Citizen's Connect Portal website. You will be able to create an account and username there, then create, edit, renew, add and change license plates, vehicle information, etc.

2025 Quarterly & Year long Virtual Permits have now become activated on our website, listed above!

(Residential (vinyl hanging) Permits have taken effect for the July 1st, 2024 - June 30th, 2025 current Residential year. As of February 1st, 2025, the price has now been reduced to $30 for the remaining time period until June 30th, 2025.)

All permit holders must pull into parking spaces in the deck or lot, so that the plate is scannable from a car or on foot. What that means to each permit holder is that they MAY NOT BACK INTO a parking space. Failure to do so will void your Municipal Permit.

The Municipal Permit price list for the 2025 permits can be viewed, also seen below with accompanying rules letter, here:

Parking permits are available for the following municipal lots:

The Pottsville Parking Authority Board has passed a Motion, in December 2024, to allow Residents in the 100 block of South Centre Street, and 100 & 200 blocks of Mahantongo Street, to receive a reduced Quarterly rate, the same rate Necho Allen residents pay, to park specifically in the Mahantongo Deck, which will be $122.25 & $5.00 Administration Fee = $127.25 Quarterly rate.
